3 year old son might have SPD,im scared for his brothers life!!!!!

by star l sowers
(woonsocket,sd)

My 3 year old son carter is going to be tested for spd soon,he is a VERY picky eater, mostly only eats green soft foods green beans, asparagus ect.he also is very aggressive to his little brother.he put a hole through his lip, black eyes, tries to smoother him with blankets tries to put his head under water in the tub and just always hits him bites him ect.i have a hard time keeping them apart all Logan wants is to be by his big brother so it hard for all of us.he also doesn't sleep maybe 2-3 hours a night and no nap in the day.

He also falls down a lot and gets bloody noses we think its because when he is on carpet he is flat footed but when he steps on hard wood he is on his tippie toes and jumps to get his feet off of it.we think cold floors has something to do with it.in the mist of all this they are also telling me he may have aspergers autism so he is going to be tested for that also.if anyone has any advice how to help please tell me.thank you for taking time to read my story!

Get an Occupational therapy evaluation NEW
by: Anonymous

Hi, not sure which tests you are in the process of (psych testing or something), but it would be beneficial for you to get an occupational therapy assessment at a sensory integration clinic so that your son may receive treatment. It sounds like SI would help him with some of the things you mentioned.
