Adult with many SPD symptoms, sees sounds sometimes

by Bridgette Belair
(Toledo, Oh)

I work with children who have special needs, many of which have sensory issues and see bits of myself in many of my clients. My experiences give me a unique insight into what they are going through and empathizing with them comes easily.

The kids respond well to me and enjoy working with me as I do them. I participate in their sensory diets with them (if possible). I wish I would have known what the deal was when I was growing up and not have spent so many years feeling awkward. At least now I understand what is going on!
