Anything about SPD in Brazil?

by Lauren
(Sao Paulo Brazil)

Hi,
I live in Brazil and have a 13 y.o. son who has motor coordination problems as well as cognitive problems. For years we didn´t know what was wrong with him and I don´t know for sure if he has SPD, though some of the symptoms listed in this site he has. From the various neurologists that we have taken him to through the years, I never heard of SPD. (OTs are almost non existent here.) We have recently started a new therapy called Ramain (based on the work of Simonne Ramain) which is a "psychomotricity" treatment. Anyone experienced with it?

Are there professionals here in Brazil who diagnose and treat SPD? My son and I will be traveling for a week to NY and Boston in June (2009). Maybe I could have him evaluated by someone there? Any suggestions.
