Does not want to go to school.

by JJ
(NEWYORK)

MY GRANDSON HAS NOT YET BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH SPD. WE THINK THE LIGHT BULB HAS BEEN TURNED ON. WE HAVE DONE THE QUESTIONAIRE AND FOLLOWING THE STEPS.WE ARE IN A PANIC MODE.WE DO NOT HAVE A MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS YET.THEREFOR WE HAVE NOT LEARNED THE TOOLS OR ENGAGED IN THE OT HELP.

SINCE THE LIGHT HAS BEEN ON FOR THE PAST THREE DAYS.HAS ANYONE OUT THERE BEEN THROUGH THIS AND SUGGEST WHAT WORKED FOR THEM.HE IS IN SECOND GRADE HE WAS OUT FOR ONE DAY AND REFUSES TO GO BACK.HE TELLS US ONLY THAT HE DOES NOT LIKE TO BE QUESTIONED BY ANYONE AT SCHOOL ABOUT WHY HE WAS OUT OR HOW HE IS FEELING.WE UNDERSTAND THAT WE ARE ASKING PEOPLE THAT WERE AT ONE TIME WHERE WE ARE NOW IN THE DARK WITH A SWITCH THAT VERY WELL MIGHT LIGHT A PATH THAT WE MAY NEED TO GO DOWN .THANK YOU FOR GIVING ANY SUGGESTION YOU MAY HAVE IF YOU BEEN THROUGH THIS.
