Emotional and Physical Abuse?

by Cara
(Florida)

Hello Everyone,
I have a 3 yr old daughter with "undefined" development issues.
(This is how O.T. medically coded my daughters condition)
I believe a lot of her problems have been caused by my husband.

My daughter and I have been victims of Domestic Violence for the past 3 years. My gut instinct and my O.T. agrees, her problems are from the abuse both physical and emotional. Does anybody know where I can find information and cases to support our beliefs? I am in the middle of a divorce and custody battle with my husband . He's been arrested 4 times for battery.

Abusive Husband/Father
by: Don Forde

Cara.... Your husband sounds very dangerous. I suggest that you
establish a new identity and leave with your daughter, the area where you now live. I'm sure this would be difficult, but you and your daughters safety are first and foremost.

I don't mean to alarm you, but I have to believe that you have already considered this possibility. If your husband has been violent in the past, then without intensive counseling and a willingness by him to change his behavior, then things will remain the same.

BE SAFE.

Sincerely,
Don Forde
