PT/OT NEW
by: Anonymous

My son started physical therapy at 20 months for toe walking. It was a huge help because along with that, he had low core strength which needed to be addressed. An occupational therapist may be able to help with the sensory behaviors as well, but we were really lucky with the PT. While I still have to remind him to heel toe walk, the tip toes are mostly gone. Good luck. Honestly, having done both school and a clinical setting, I prefer the medical model for those things and would go to a hospital or clinic.

Occupational therapy NEW
by: Anonymous

Most schools have an occupational therapist that will work on these things. You have to demand he be evaluated. There could be other things you don't recognize he could need help with. Hope it works out for you.
