Halloween Costumes

by mo2g
(usa)

Any ideas for Halloween costumes? Many of the store-bought costumes are made of itchy, scratchy materials. Who wants to spend money on a costume your kid won't wear? Again. I can do some basic sewing, but not well enough to look GOOD. We usually end up wearing soft clothes underneath anyway, but I thought someone out there might have some good suggestions or websites.

Try www.familyfun.com. They usually have some cool suggestions for costumes and they include instructions on how to make them.

I like the jogging suit ones because they usually are more comfortable. My little girl was a"mommy" one time. She wore regular clothes and had a big purse and babydoll and shopping cart(or stroller) Put on some lipstick and she is ready to go. You can use the purse for the candy. My friend gave me a Super Man that she made out of jogging suit. She did the SuperMan logo in felt on front of shirt and sparkly red material for cape. Talk about it with your little one because it depends on what they are comfortable with.

How about nice soft (old and comfy!) black jogging bottoms and top with bone shapes stuck on as a skeleton or being wrapped in crepe bandages as a mummy
