How to wear a watch

MY 10 year old son has Aspergers. He is very concerned about time and wants to wear a wrist watch but he says they all hurt his arm. Has anyone found a watch that doesn't bother an SPD kid?

When wearing long sleeves my SPD son has taken to wearing the watch over his sleeves rather than underneath them.

How about someone making a fleece with him picking out the material with velcro wrist band.

They like any polyester fleece material.
