I have high self-esteem and proprioception problems.

Please don't think that self-esteem problems are inevitable. My proprioception is atrocious, but my parents always accepted me and taught me that I'm just as good as anyone else and shouldn't listen to others' nasty judgments. So my self-esteem is great, and it's definitely not because no one ever bothered me about it; I was bullied horrifically for that and everything else.

Problems with self-esteem might become inevitable if you assume they will, though! It's called a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Just love and accept your kids enough for all the people who won't.
