I know SPD is real

by chrissy
(cohoes, NY)

I so believe that SPD is real. I have ADHD and most of the time I get so over stimulated by everything around me that my body feels so out of control or if there isn't enough stimulation I also feel antsy. There are times I just want to crawl in a corner and cry. It is so hard to function in a three hour class or in work meetings. It is also hard to get people that don't have these issues to understand what it is like.

Even with the diagnoses of ADHD people don't understand how difficult life can be when sitting for a long period of time or the need to move almost constantly is very real for even adults. I spend most of my time trying to mask it because I don't want to look odd or seem immature.
