I think I may have SPD?

by Nikki
(currently PA may change soon)

I was never diagnosed with it I have been diagnosed with ADD Depression and Anxiety but after reading about this online I have alot of the symptoms I have always had problems with the textures of foods and I hate getting my hands dirty I freak out if I am too hot I tend to freak out if things dont go my way or theres an unexpected change in my plans I am 23 yrs old and I just barely finally got my drivers license because I struggled with being able to park I sometimes type things backwards but nobody notices that because I go back and fix it. I have always struggled with being able to tie my own shoes or tie anything I was always developmentally behind other kids growing up. theres alot more I guess my question is do you think I have this disorder and where should I go to get help?

Lots of info out there...
by: Bonnie

This is one site you can check out.
There are also some books that are for older kids/teens/young adults with SPD offered at Amazon for purchase.

It sounds like SPD

Hi
I can imagine figuring out why you feel the way you do, and why you have have issues with the things you mentioned, would weigh on your mind.

Knowledge is a good starting point to understanding ourselves, and others, and moving forward.

Advocating for ourselves is easier when we "understand" how to set ourselves up for success in life. Everyone actually does this but those with SPD have to be especially diligent and really know themselves.

Have you investigated SPD through the SPD FOUNDATION site? Let me know, I can also recommend some on-line sites and books for young adults versus kids.

Best
Bonnie
