I understand!

by Michael
(Roanoke, VA, USA)

I was diagnosed with SPD, and most things on here are very familiar. I'm 17 now, but the past was rough, as most people didn't, and some still don't, understand how I experience things differently. I have tactile and Internet Regulation problems. I can't wear anything cotton or touch cotton, I can't use sheets that are not perfectly smooth, I wear a jacket in 100-degree weather, I never drink, I have a strange experience eating, as I'm hungry then not, and then again, and I can't stand being touched by anything. It's difficult, but I've gotten used to socks for the most part, although not cotton. This site is great, and I found out valuable information.
