Infant checklist

My son is now 2 years old and has been in the Hospital since birth. He has extreme narrowing of the nasal airway passages and as a result has had problems feeding and of course, breathing.

After a full year of several intubations and one seizure (caused by lack of oxygen), he finally has a traehce. He also has a g-tube.

Now, he is slowly but surely overcoming several medical obstacles and is gaining weight nicely. He is due to have his trache removed in a couple of months too.

My son has severe sensory issues and adverse gagging refluxes to anything in his mouth.

I wish there were some kind of checklist more age appropriate for him.

Hello. I am a mother of a two year old boy from the Philippines. Have your child checked by a developmental pedia and an Occupational Therapist who could help you with the gagging issues.

Thanks.
