Misdiagnosis

A little boy i am working with has autism, he is very energetic and fits alot of the symptoms for SPD. But his therapist has diagnosed him with ADHD. I am concerned because i believe its NOT ADHD and they want to put him on all this medication? How can i get the info i need to compare the 2. Im afraid if he is misdiagnosed it will make the Autism worse!

I am just a mother and not a therapist or a medical professional, but it is my understanding, after 4 years of dealing with my son's diagnosis, that SPD and Austism Spectrum can look a lot like ADD or ADHD. I would recommend getting a second opinion since the meds could be a waste of time and unnecessarily expose the child to side-effects.
