My Grandson Jamie

by Debra James
(Halesowen, UK)

My beautiful Grandson is just 5yrs old he has just started school at The Orchard, Oldbury, West Midlands UK. It had been thought that he was Autistic, however after a couple of weeks at school the teaching staff think that he may have a Sensory Processing Disorder. I always read up on things as I love him very much and try to support him anyway I can.

I have read through the checklist and have printed off a copy to show my Daughter-in-law so we can highlight the areas that Jamie identifies with; hopefully this will help staff to look in the right direction and give a better diagnosis for him.

I think the website is great and it gave me a little insight as to why he does the things he does.
