My son is 10

by Corinne
(Allentown, NJ)

I have been dealing with all of these or most of these symptoms since my son has been BORN, it seems.

I feel he may have been mis-diagnosed and we have been feeding him medications wrongly..

Is there a support group for parents of children older than 5, 6 7?

SOOOO Frustrated.

children past age of 10 NEW
by: Anonymous

My son is 12 and he seems to be coping pretty well with the SPD in school and at home. In the beginning it was really hard. I would have night where I just wanted a "normal" child now he is seen as a blessing still challenging more so for others than for me. I understand how he is and accept what can be changed and what cannot. He will never like people touching him uninvited and that is a good thing. His fear of crowds is become less of a problem. He still does not like baths but he has learned to tolerate them. There are still alot of things that need to be worked on but most of the things are coming along. I have more trouble with school systems and other parents than I do with him.

I would love to hear from other families who are getting treatment for their children.
