My son is 3 1/2 non verbal and LOVES to flip

What is a good FLIPPING mechanism for him? He also likes heavy things and hanging from his arms. I am going to try to laying on top of him but I dont know what to do in a sensory diet to help with the flipping thing. So he can do it safely. I have thought about enrolling him in gymnastics however, most wont take him because he wont "listen"

My son also likes flipping and hanging from is arms it took a while but he listened very well in gymnastics> I did explain the the instructors about his needs and they were awesome and willing to work with him. Call your gymnastics center and explain to them whats going on. also most gymnastics centers will have days of open gym and that lets them do whatever they like.

Hello! I am a mother to a two year old boy with ASD. Try Occupational Therapy and a Gluten-free Casein free diet. The behavioral therapy worked for those flipping behavior and to help your son divert his attention to something else. The GFCF diet also can improve his behavior. Good luck!
