Nice to know im not the only one

Its so nice to know im not the only one with a picky eater!

My daughters 3 1/2 and she has never eaten any kind of soup ever never eats meat ever and just a few fruits and frozen peas and french carrots. She will not eat anything thats hot either needless to say i dont do much cooking here... shes starting to go off other foods to she used to love cheese and yogurt i dont know what i will do if she goes off milk to. She is super sensitive with smells from foods to the point that she will hide somewhere and cry because the smell is bothering her so much. i can only ever get her to maybe touch a new food but never tasted it. It would be so great if i could just cook her a proper meal just once lol

4 year old "picky eater"
by: Anonymous

2 years of struggling with different doctors, family, friends, nutritionists, etc and all of their opinions and advice. Finally got an answer - my 4 year old has a spd with hypersensitivity to smells. She will be going to a feeding clinic once a week so they can help her. Thank God I'm not the only one and I finally have an answer!!!!

It's frustrating when they don't seem to eat balanced diets. My behavioral ped. told us not to worry about it and just make sure she takes her vitamins. We slowly try and introduce things to our 9 year old. He has to be out of the room to eat if the smell is too bad for him. Wish you luck.
