NJ SPD Support Groups/Essex County

by Madeleine
(Montclair, NJ, USA)

Hello!
I am interested in joining a support group, in or near Essex County NJ for children with SPD. My husband and I have a 7-year-old daughter and we would love to meet/connect with other parents with similar challenges in our area.

Thanks very much for your help and time : )

Wanting to form a group. NEW
by: Anonymous

I'm the mother of a six year old with SPD and I would love to start a group in our area. We live in Fontana, CA. I'm hoping to start a play group for both the kids and parents. We are thinking of home schooling next year so this could be really important.

support group NEW
by: Anonymous

I belong to an online support group. They do have meetups/playdates with the kids and the moms get together once in a while. I haven't ever attended any of the meetups but find the support and ideas very useful and comforting at times. The group is located in Connecticut but you can join online. It is a great group and the members are very supportive and have many ideas. If you are having an issue you need help with you can just post a discussion and many will respond with advice or just support. I know its not in NJ but it may be helpful to you. www.meetup.com the name of the group is Sensory smart moms support group.
