Noises

I'm a 13 year old girl living with SPD. I was diagnosed around 7 but my parents never did anything about it, and they still aren't. It's getting worse and worse everyday, to the point where I can't function properly in school or anywhere else. My worst problem however is sounds. I am so sensitive to sounds. I spend my whole school life covering my ears, and never getting anything done! I'm constantly telling someone to shut up or sitting in the corner or covering my ears with my eyes tight shut. My teachers won't let me work in the hall and I'm having sensory overload attacks in class because of it. I don't know what to do!

I am the very same way with my parents. You could try ear plugs possibly. I am very sensitive with my hearing but never to the point that it's disabling. Good luck and speak to someone in school.
