NP Womens Health Grandmother of probable SPD child

by Elizabeth Brown
(Sacramento, Ca)

The checklist was almost overwhelming and very comprehensive. My granddaughter is almost 3 and appears to have SPD. She has excess drooling, poor coordination and balance, does not talk.
All of her test have been normal. As she has become older she is responding more to normal tones and still does not talk. She does some baby babbling, late in crawling, and did not walk until 20 months. She has recently learned to click her tongue. Already is involved in physical therapy, OT, and has begun musical therapy. She is our special child, we enjoy her and love her.
