Sensitive to noises caused by normal eating

by Joe

My 12 year old daughter has been noticeably sensitive to noises that our family makes during a normal meal for example smacking lips, slurping, the sound of a spoon or fork hitting teeth. Although we all make significant effort to "quiet" our eating, my sweet daughter is still very sensitive to only these types of noises. She often becomes upset and cries. I don't know what to do for her.
