My 5 year old has been diagnosed with SPD. I am looking for a brief but powerful Power Point to educate the caregivers in the "Extended Day Care" setting he is in for 6 hours each day. It would also be nice to offer a brief PP on SPD to his teachers throughout the day. Does one exist?
I have not found one. My suggestion is to have a local occupational therapist give a brief presentation to them. Be certain the OT is trained on SPD/Sensory processing and can provide a helpful handout to the caregivers. Sensory is difficult to explain and a lot for a novice to understand.
