I have had sensory defensiveness since I was a child. I'm now 59 years old and just realizing this is a real diagnosis and hope to find treatment other than anti-anxiety meds.

my partner is suffering from what we believe to be SPD, or as noted by another poster, Sensory Defensiveness. He is in his late 40's and becoming disfunctional and depressed by this disability. anti depressants and anti anxiety medication did not help. I am helping him to seek treatment in the Boston Area and do not know where to begin. Please provide any resources that might help us on this search and thank you! - Friend Trying to Help
