Visual processing difficulties

Has anyone ever heard of a child complaining that seeing the corners or points of furniture or objects upset them. My daughter complains that everywhere she looks in her room things are popping out at her so she tries to cover them or cover her eyes.

Vision Therapy
by: Anonymous

Perhaps you should do some research on vision therapy. Apparently there can be issues (i.e. muscle control problems, etc.) that glasses can't correct but vision therapy can successfully treat.

Target is too bright
by: Anonymous

My daughter hates going to Target, I have been asking her for a while why, and finally we have an answer. It is too much like a gymnasium, bright florescent lights, high ceilings, echoy/boxy surroundings. I keep taking her for short trips and giving her a reward at the end. She's making progress.

Visual function
by: Anonymous

My son Sam is 20 months has a habit of looking around him sideways. Maybe you notice this in your child too. I don't know where to have him checked because he doesn't talk. He babbles loudly. So its very difficult for us.
