What do I do for my son who screams

My son is 21 months and diagnosed with SPD. Our MAJOR problem is his screaming when he is mad, wants something or just excited. He screams a lot. My husband and I are at our wits end.

My son screams too NEW
by: BlondieChell

you are not alone. My son will be 4 next month, and I just stumbled on this site.... he too screams for all those reasons you just listed... What has helped is the encouragement (by others @ his preschool and daycare) to use his words (he was diagnosed with a speech delay) instead of his screams...but he still screams at times, and now I know why... It can feel frustrating, or embarrassing, especially while u're in Walmart and everyone is looking at you, but please know you are not alone... What I do in Walmart is just accept the fact that my son screams and smile...even while he's screaming...b/c there's nothing I can do to stop it...
