What if the child is resistent to even the most FUN games you can come up with?

I have a four year old that avoids using his hands for anything. (Even simple self-care.) He resists fine motor activities very strongly. No matter how fun I try to make them, no matter what games I think to come up with, etc.

We have an apt with our pediatrician to have him evaluated for SPD. (I am going to try to insist that they refer us to an OT too.) However, in the mean time, what are ways I can encourage my son to even play the fun games that use his hands?
