Getting Worse As I Get Older

I've had tactile defensiveness my whole life, and I feel like it's getting worse as I get older. There were clothings that I used to wear that I can't even stand touching now. Even if it's 100 degrees outside, I cannot bear to wear jeans, dress pants, khakis, chinos, etc. without wearing a "protective layer" underneath. And this is usually a very specific pair of cotton leggings that I've been fortunate enough to find. If I find a pair that works, I will buy like 10 more of it.

Not all leggings work. Sometimes I would just wear black yoga or pajama pants and try to pass them off as dress pants. I also wear a tissue tee underneath most tops. When I shop for clothes, I will perform the touch test first. It doesn't matter how good something looks. If it doesn't feel right, I won't even try it on. What is the point? If I force myself to wear it, I will break out in cold sweat and feel sick all day until I take it off. I'm about seven months pregnant now and it just feels even worse as I struggle to find maternity clothes that feel right.

I have just completed a workshop on Tactile defensiveness, try the mind moves programme. It's amazing and the feedback is so positive. They have programmers for your new baby as we'll.

Getting worse

You should consider seeing an occupational therapist they can help massively
You need to consider that there are changes going on inside with the pregnancy such as increased blood flow stretching on the skin as you grow.
have you tried using skin rubs such as a loather sea sponge to help with the skin sensation I am only guessing but it might be a good tome as I said to try different texture rubs before you dress Hope it helps

Mind over matters..........

I would consider finding a good hypnotist and using bio-feedback tapes. There is also something called "EFT" that you should research. Meditation also relaxes the mind and changes brain waves...as does vibrational energy (different musical tones.)
