Hypersensitive and Hyposensitive?

by Louise

I have just filled out the checklist? I tried very hard to answer the questions completely accurately. I checked off many symptoms in both hypersensitive and hypo sensitive sections? Can you be hyper and hypo at the same time?

Thanks for asking this. I was wondering that since my child is very resistant to new foods, has a strong gag reflex, and is a very neat eater... but is always chewing on his clothes/pencils/etc. It's like anything can go into his mouth... so long as it's not potentially edible!

I'm glad you asked this question. I was wondering the same thing. The answer above was helpful as well...I also bounce back and forth between hyper and hypo. Some things I and very one or the other and its unwavering but a lot of issues I have go back and forth between the two.

Yes, you can be. I've filled it out myself. Sometimes I've even had checks in both on the same line because it bounces back and forth! It drives me crazy. Sometimes I can feel heat and cold to well, othertimes I can take things out of the microwave and not even feel that I've burnt my fingers until they start itching and turning red. Most definitely, you can be both.
