Why do certain noises bother someone with SPD and other noises do not?

I am an under responder. I don't like some noises due to the frequency and consistency of them. Other noises are fine and tend to blend into white noise. I don't know the science of it, but I know it took my mom a while to figure oit what was ok.

Hi I'm Ashley. I have sensory integration disorder. Noise bothers by pitch because of the 'megahertz. I for example can't stand fire alarms . It is counteracted by therapeutic listening treatments usually with special headphones and a CD player
