Providing Massage causes problems

I am a nail technician and part of my job is to give a foot and leg massage. Doing this sets off my SPD, which affect my vision and I have difficulty seeing the toenails to polish.

Does anyone have a suggestion that would allow me to perform the leg & foot massage task without going crazy??

Thanks

Thank you. I will try that. I have done jumping jacks before when things got too out of hand. Never thought to do them as a preventative measure.

Self massage to offset overstimulation
by: AnonymousJanice

We have our son do large muscle movement before we go places that might be too stimulating for him...perhaps you could take five minutes to jump rope...or massage your own feet feet and calves...look up occupational therapy exercises on line...this may help you build up resistance to your reaction. Wishing you the best of luck.
