Auditory defensiveness and music class

I have a 7 year old son who was diagnosed when he was 3 with SPD and, boy, have we come a long way!




He is very auditory defensive but loves music. He has music once a week in elementary school but the stimulus is about to do him in.

Any ideas besides ear plugs?

I too am interested in hearing suggestions other than ear plugs. My 9 year old boy with SPD has such a difficult time with the clapping and singing.

Has anyone successfully been able to get a credit in another subject and sit music out?
