You may well find the person with autism responds very well to visual and kinesthetic info - one reason why story telling with visual aids is so effective. Auditory info -- the most common, and often the only one provided in the regular school system -- is the hardest for autistic people.




I struggled with auditory input all thru school, right thru University. Copious note taking helped a lot, I could remember writing down the notes, so could absorb the info . Classes where the instructor said put down your pens/pencils and just listen, I almost never heard or could recall any of the info.
