Cause

Has anyone figured out what causes this? Is it hereditary? Or does something happen during pregnancy?

Without going into personal issues, I was in danger and fear for my life at times during my pregnancy and cannot help but think maybe the fight or flight adrenaline rushes may have caused my little girl to have this.

My best friend is in grad school to become a neuroscientist. I am sure there are articles on this online. She works specifically in this area. She herself has a bit of autism, ADD, anxiety, and a lot of other things. This is something that happens in the brain and this is not caused by genetics or anything you did during pregnancy. It just happens .

Instead of seeing it as something bad, try your best to see it as YOU were chosen to be this child’s mother for a reason. myself have a 4yrs old spd and it’s hard.

Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise,l always said it’s something that he has , I just don’t know what it is. I realized I was chosen to be his mom and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Im thankful and blessed to be his mom because i have his back always and I defend him from peoples ignorance and fro those who are not educated in spd. As mothers, we are their voice.
