Clinical Nurse Specialist in Child-Adolescent Mental Health

l sought further understanding of proprioception because it can ce associated with Adhesive Arachnoiditis, a rare spinal condition that I have neem diagnosed with.. I discovered that this term captures many of the hard to explain symptoms that I experiencee.

I found that the concept, "proprioceptive dysfunction" describes the experiences of children and adults that I work with in my professional role. I am a clinical nurse specialist specializing in attention, learning, self control problems in child's and adults. There is considerable overlap between the diagnostic criteria (DSM V, ICD 10)! for Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD) and the symptom presentation of Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD).

I plan to further my understanding of SPD with a goal of integrating assessment and therapeutic concepts and strategies from the research on SPD into my work with the patient population with diagnosed AD/HD, I'd be eager to discuss this with others who may share a similar interest.
