Conscious intervention in early teens?

Our son has auditory processing weaknesses (hypo). He has empathy, humour, and is a strong reader, but he has a math LD. We got his vestibular sense up with some non-competitive sports. He is not headed for the Olympics but at least he does them, e.g. he bikes really well.

But now that I've read about it in more detail, I notice that there are more SPD signs evident that he hasn't shed by age 13--e.g. oral motor hyposensitivity, fine motor hypo as well--since I haven't "worked on" these aspects yet through OT.

Has anyone else started to target issues this late in childhood?
