Hi, When I was learning about SPD, everyone told me that an OT could diagnose my son. But when I had the evaluation done, the OT told me that only a doctor could diagnose. So I took the OT report to my son's pediatrician, and the pediatrician gave the medical diagnosis. I don't know if this is true in every state-we live in Virginia. I hope that helps!
