How to differentiate between SPD and temper tantrum

how do we differentiate between sensory processing disorder and temper tantrum. like hitting or pushing could be prop seeking behavior or it could be a tantrum. or picky eating could be faulty oral processing or just tantrum..

As far back as I can remember, a lot of these on the checklist were me as a child. My son also has them. I am still learning about it all and he’s only
