Is SPD cured with Therapy

Hi. I have a son 3 1/2 that has just been diagnosed with SPD and a daughter 1 1/2 that is being evaluated. I have read books on the disorder as well as the report on my son and am feeling overwhelmed by the terms, disorder etc.

My question is whether SPD is something that is "cured" with therapy. Or is this something my children will always have that the therapy will just help with so it does not seem as severe.

Also, my kids have some of the social anxiety/tend to play alone. Is there anything that will help with that? It seems like all the therapy at this age focuses on fine motor skills and physical strength. Any insight you can give will be appreciated.
