My son is sensitive to water... can't tolerate drops of water

my almost 4 years old son(in few weeks)is diagnosed with autism recently, he has severe separation anxiety, he still cries when i drop him off at daycare(he started september 2016).

We have tried many ways to stop him crying, just don't know what to do.(we have him drawing a car at drop off and he stops crying for about 3 weeks, and he started crying again, i'm feeling hopeless.

He also has sensory issues(getting hand messy and water on him is a no no). Even a drops of water on his shirt bothers him? The OT just don't have any ideas to offer us, do you have any opinions?thanks.
