Sensory diet in middle school

by Karen
(PA)

I have an 11 year old son who is extremely self conscious and will not do anything to call attention to himself or make him feel different from others. What type of sensory diet activities could be implemented into his daily routine at school for his SID? He is very resistant to anything we try and do. He is also dx with Asperger's syndrome, though it is mild. Thank you.

There are subtle chair stretches he can do, breathing techniques to improve arousal. Having a small snack between classes (crunchy or chewy foods work). Progressive muscle relaxation techniques can be beneficial.
