Sensory seeking

This may seem like a silly question but OT diagnosed daughter with sensory seeking behaviours a few years ago and told me to use bean bags to weigh her down and sent on our way, didn't think much of it but been doing some reading recently as daughter struggling more than ever and I'm wondering if she has spd?
Is sensory seeking behaviours spd? Or is spd a separate thing? We live in Northern Ireland and research has shown we don't have facilities here for diagnosing and treating spd so not sure what to think. Any and all help and advice is welcome
