SPD and Echolia

I have an almost 4 year old son w/ sensory processing issues. Had evaluations through school system and didn't qualify under ASD at this time but agreed has sensory issues. We're seeing an OT. He's in mainstream preschool and socialization has improved as has pragmatic language.

He does mimic/copy what others say. It isn't all the time but varies. In everything I'm reading, it's a sign of autism, wondering if it could be a stimulation thing for him? He also mimics cartoons he watches....last night I heard him in bed just kind of going through the episode out loud. We haven't seen a developmental pediatrician yet because we felt things were improving but now I'm freaked out. Anyone see this w/ their child and it's not ASD??
Thanks
