Tired Mom and daughter

by Angela
(Detroit Michigan)

My daughter is 13 and has Downs syndrome and has always talked to herself playfully. Over the past couple months it has gotten to the point where she constantly moves around at home and has a real hard time sleeping and staying asleep through the night. She rocks back and forth in the car and at home and sometimes seems she is in her own world.

I have her scheduled to see a OT for a sensory evaluation. Now she does have OT at school and I have brought my concerns to them and they have not seen the behaviors I have to be so prevalent. Please help I am very overwhelmed and she is as well.Does anyone have any ideas?
