Adults with sensory processing disorder

I am a new OT working with adults in day habilitation programs. I have a individual who appears to be "sensory" and I am beginning an intensive program of sensory stimulation with him next week. He has a long background of institutionalization. Is there anyone who has had experience with adults and what have your successes been? Do you have any suggestions?
