Chewy tubes

I work in a pre-K special education classroom with children who have been diagnosed with autism. Several children chew through chewy tubes within minutes. The occupational therapists have tried things like getting the students to suck applesauce through straws, deep pressure activities, and various strengths of chewy tube resistance. Nothing slows the chewing down. Any suggestions?
