Concerned Nanny

For the past few months (and even 5 years) I have been nannying for a family with two children. I have been noticed certain sensory issues that both of them have issues with-especially clothes and food. I was just under the pressure they were learned behaviors from their parents because I hate to admit it-they are the parents that feel they need to do everything for their children, they hover, constantly want to take care of them because I feel they think they need to be always nurturing them to make them feel comfortable.

My question is-how do you know if these behaviors are really SPD or just learned behaviors? I don't want to jump to conclusions but it seems to be getting worse and the children both exhibit some SPD behaviors. I am afraid to bring it up to their parents and then be wrong. I want to be sure......
