Preschool son w/ oral sensitivities is biting at school.

My son was 3 yrs. old when his Occupational Therapist diagnosed him with Over Oral Stimulation Sensitivities. He is a biter. It is hard to swallow the fact that my son is a biter. But I am not in denial about the situation and I will do what I have to do in order to help my son. I have a meeting with his teacher and the school psychologist. I just need a little direction and encouragement to know that I am doing the right things to help my son. I need some tricks of the trade.

My son is a biter too
by: Anonymous

I'm in the same boat. My son is almost 3 and he is a biter. I feel so sad to accept it but I started looking for help. He is not been diagnosed yet, specialist will see him on the 18th. But reading at this articles and doing the checklist, I know he has oral sensitivities and anxiety :( he even ate the chewy tube. Everytime we go to the park he has to bite someone. I'm worried because he is going to start pre school in September. I need help!

Going through the same thing

I am going through the same thing. My son is 2 yr 7 months and he bites all the kids in his class. Hard enough to break the skin. I am currently seeking help through the local school board to help him.
