Hi~As an Occupational Therapist reading your entry it seems to me that you have a vestibular disorder and a tactile disorder. When one or two sensory systems are not functioning well, we adapt by depending more on systems that are giving us more accurate information. Hence folks with poor balance through their inner ear will often press their knees together as they attempt to stand on one foot to increase the proprioceptive awareness and be more successful. Does this sound like you?
