Taste and spit

Giving a child a "spit cup" at the table allows them to bite, taste and spit new foods into the cup. This takes the pressure off of having to eat/swallow a new food to a hypersensitive child. Play little attention to the spitting and thank the child for trying the food. After 15-20 attempts, the child may decide she likes the new food. Keep offering the same new foods over time.
